How To Live A Long, Healthy Life:

Everyone wants to live a long, healthy life and while there are no guarantees on how long we have here on earth, there are a few simple things you can do to ensure you enjoy such a fantastic gift of life.  Many can be common sense, but many of us simply don’t put them into practice even though we know they can be immensely beneficial to us.  The bottom line to overcome this obstacle is that you simply need a little help to get started.  They can usually be grouped into certain categories as Lifestyle, Habits, Routines, and Disciplines. which improve the way you take care of yourself Physically, Mentally, Emotionally, and Personally.  I know some of these words sound “bad” to us, but think for a moment how a small child (or even an adult) with no “discipline”acts?  Do you want to be around this type of person?  We teach our children disciplines to make them better people, and while can be a little tricky to pick up, once we have them they become automatic and benefit us forever.

There are several ways to take care of our physique which are very easy to implement and maintain for better health.  An early morning exercise routine can get us ready for the day in more ways then just helping build muscle, lose weight, and become lean and fit.  It also improves are attitudes and can make us more productive during our day ahead.  Did you some of top leaders in the world, including US Presidents, Billionaire Business Owners (both Men and Women), Top Scientist, Celebrities, and many others start their day with some form of exercise in the morning.  You might think these people would be way too busy with their kind of schedules to find time for exercise, but it pays off in much higher productivity during the remaining day.

You don’t have to train like a Professional Athlete; it can be anything from running on Treadmill to riding a Stationary Bike to Lifting Weights or using Resistance Bands.  Depending on where you live, this all can be done either outside or inside.  The Mayo Clinic recommends about 150 minutes (2.5 hours) of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity per week.  Strength training can be done just 2 to 3 times per week to see results.

You can also sneak some physical activity into your day (if you can’t get yourself actually exercising … yet!) with such things as Brisk Walking, Running, Mowing the Lawn, Washing The Car, or spice up your chores by Dancing a little while Washing the Dishes or Sweeping the Floor.  Let your Inner Child come out and Play on the Swings, go down the Slide, put on some Roller Skates.  The key is to get your Heart Rate elevated for about 20 minutes per day with some kind of activity.  Exercising and keeping active will also relive stress which helps your Mental Health at the same time.

Always be Proactive when Identifying and Curing Health problems.  Preventive care is always best before any kind of problem gets worse.  Take care of it Before it becomes a major concern.  Don’t skip your Doctor visits and make sure to have a checkup up at least once per year and follow through with any additional tests, screenings, etc. your Doctor recommends.  To save money on any Medications you or your family may need, visit HERE for Deep Discounts.

Some of the obvious other habits to keep are to never cut corners with it comes to your safety.  Always wear your Seat Belt, Obey Speed Limits, and be Cautious when Driving.  Where any Recommended and/or Appropriate Safety Gear when playing Sports or Participating in Activities such as Horseback Riding, Skiing, Rock Climbing, Skateboarding, etc.

A few changes to your Lifestyle will also greatly improve your health.  They can range from simple changes that you’ll never notice to ones that may be a challenge to get a grip on such as to Quit Smoking.  If you Drink Alcohol, try not to drink excessively as this can lead to a number of health problems (for your Liver, Kidney, and Heart,) and obviously don’t Drink while Driving, Boating, Operating Machinery, etc.  One way to curb a Habit of Drinking too much Alcohol is to substitute it with Water (even Flavored or Infused Water).  Your body will still feel like it’s drinking plenty of liquids which can be the reason an Alcohol Habit slowly got started.  Water is the ultimate health beverage and drinking plenty of Water keeps you Hydrated, Flushes out Toxins, and allows your body to function at optimum levels.  It’s also keeps your Skin Healthy and looking Younger.

Changing some of your Eating Habits can dramatically improve your Physical Appearance, the way you Feel, Energy Levels, and Overall Health.  First, take a good, hard look at your Eating Habit and be brutally honest with yourself as to where you can make some improvements.  It’s a gradual process, but even slow progress is still progress.  As you start to feel the difference in your body, it becomes easier and easier to make healthy substitutions for some of the Junk Foods you used to crave.

Many Fruits can be substituted for many Candies and Deserts (and other snacks) because of their Sweet tastes and wide Variety.  Vegetables, such as a crisp Carrot can be substituted for many Chips and Crackers, and so on.  Both Fruits and Vegetables are an excellent source of Vitamins and Minerals that your body needs.  They’re also high in Fiber, Low in Calories and Fat, and are a much better source of Complex Carbohydrates then Baked and Processed Foods so try to eat 4 to 5 servings per day.

Eating Protein rich foods can help your body ability to heal by making new cells which is important for repairing damaged tissue.  Try to eat 2 to 3 servings of high protein foods such as Meat, Fish, Eggs, Milk, Soy, Beans, Legumes, Lentils, and Nuts.  Your Body does need Fat, and it provides many benefits so foods such as Cheese, Oils, Creams, etc. are Good and Healthy so you don’t need to restrict yourself to Fat Free or Low Fat foods (which can be processed and are actually Less Healthy), but remember to consume Fat in appropriate amounts.

Try to cut down on your consumption of Salt and Sugar.  While Salt is good for Maintaining your Muscle and Nerve Function, and Managing your Blood Volume and Pressure, you shouldn’t consume more than about 2000mg per day which is about 1 teaspoon.  Most foods naturally contain Salt so you can get most of your Salt needs without having to add any.  Try to Avoid fast foods which are usually both very High in Salt and Fat.  Cutting down on Sugar can go a long, long way to improving your Health.  It’s also one of the best ways to Lose Weight.  Substitute High Sugar drinks for Water. Drinking lots of Water can provide several health benefits.  Besides the Skin Benefits and keeping you Hydrated, Water can fill you up to help you avoid those in between Meal Snack Cravings we often get which usually lead us to munch on whatever is Close and Easy, not necessarily Good and Healthy. Lots of Water helps flush out Toxins, Maintain Bodily Functions, and keep your Kidneys Healthy.
